She has had experience working at both government hospitals and private institutes in both Mumbai and Bangalore.

She currently heads the department of vitreoretina services at Rajan eye care and has spearheaded the initiation of the retinopathy of prematurity project (ROTAROPP).

Dr Supriya Dabir Gautam completed her Ph.D. at Maastricht University, Netherlands after her vitreoretina fellowship from Aditya Jyot eye hospital, Mumbai and masters in ophthalmology from St John’s medical college , Bangalore. She has had experience working at both government hospitals and private institutes in both Mumbai and Bangalore .She currently heads the department of vitreoretina services at Rajan eye care and has spearheaded the initiation of the retinopathy of prematurity project (ROTAROPP).

She is a skilled vitreoretinal surgeon with experience of more than 18 years in complex surgeries. Her clinical acumen and surgical expertise make her one of the top surgeons in this field . Her areas of interest are retinal detachments, macular surgery, diabetic retinopathy, retinopathy of prematurity and retinal imaging.

Dr Supriya has won multiple accolades like the YKC Pandit award from the Maharashtra ophthalmic Society , Dr Basheer Mekhri award from the Karnataka Ophthalmic Society , best papers at Bombay ophthalmologists & association and the International Conference on Nanomedicine and Recent Advances in Ophthalmic Research
